BBN coordinates voluntary blood donation. It collects only what that needs, shows it only to the people who need it, and never sells it.
What we collect
- Your mobile number, to sign you in with a one-time code.
- Your name, district and preferred language.
- If you choose to be a donor: blood group, approximate location, travel radius and last donation date.
- For requests: the blood needed, where and when, a contact number, and optional minimal patient details.
Who sees what
- Donors see a request's blood group, facility and timing, never the patient's identity.
- A requester's contact number is shown to a donor only after the donor accepts.
- A donor's phone is shown to the requester only if the donor agrees when accepting.
- Hospitals see only their own requests. BBN staff see what moderation needs, with phones masked where possible.
- Public statistics are aggregated and never identify a person.
Your choices
You can pause donor notifications at any time, update your details, or deactivate your account. Records needed for safety and audit are kept for the retention period required by law.
